Verizon Employees in the Philippines Assist in Recovery Efforts
Employees are volunteering and donating supplies, “as long as aid is still needed.”
Verizon employees in the Philippines are joining in disaster recovery efforts from Typhoon Haiyan, known locally as Typhoon Yolanda. Employees are volunteering and donating supplies to the Philippine Red Cross branch in Muntinlupa City.
A recent dispatch reads, "We would like to thank all those so far who have donated and also volunteered to deliver items to support those impacted by the destruction that Typhoon Yolanda has brought to the Philippines. This is an on-going initiative and we will continue to collect donations as long as aid is still needed. All gathered donations are being delivered to the Red Cross Muntinlupa Chapter. Today, a number of employees gathered to assist in making our third delivery. Thank you for all the continued support!"
