Verizon Foundation Gives 50k Grant to Support the Brooklyn Public Library and its Young Adults
The Verizon Foundation has recently awarded the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) with a $50,000 grant to support its “Today’s Teens, Tomorrow’s Techies (T4)” program. The T4 program is a technology and training volunteer placement program offered to teenagers ages 14-18 that provides hands on computer skills training during the summer. The young adults in turn share their skills with Brooklyn Public Library’s visitors with their computer use. The T4 program also gives young adults a meaningful volunteer experience and a select internship opportunity providing direct exposure to the information technology field. The Verizon Foundation is a proud supporter of the T4 program and the benefits it gives young adults, as well as the Brooklyn Public Library.
